I never imagined myself wearing something as laid back and rugged as this. I usually lean towards the girly style, but a new life calls for new things; like cutting my hair short and now this! :D And since we’re on the topic of new things, I’m going to talk about welcoming adventure. :) During the past few months, I’ve learned more about life than I ever had in the last 6 or more years. I started to take chances. I welcomed the unknown. I faced new adventures alone. And, one of the things I realized is that it’s the little things that happen daily that fuels your life. The new choices we make for ourselves everyday can create a path to something better. That was exactly what I did. Instead of maintaining my old life, I tried new things and experiences. I opened myself to meeting new people and rekindling friendships that I thought I’ve lost. That was when I found happiness. I’ve never felt this much freedom in my 27 years of living and I am honestly enjoying it. [Sorry, parents. Hehe!] I’ve lived my life following certain ideas and rules – and yes, I was a very uptight person. :) But bad things, although they may bring you down (like really below ground), they too can open new doors for you. If you’ve been following my posts and reading my blog, you probably know how devastated I was a few months back. I literally lost my way and I couldn’t find a new direction to walk towards to. With the help of my friends, cousins and some exceptionally understanding people (HAHA!), I was able to build a new road for me to follow. The process wasn’t easy. It involved a lot of alcohol and wasted nights – uhmmm, that is actually a part of my adventure. Haha! I don’t advise it but it can really help shut your mind from all those useless thoughts. When I started to get myself together and started pulling myself off the ground, that was when I said to myself that I will move forward and welcome new things in my life. :) 4 months since that unfortunate day; these are now my thoughts: A new adventure and the unknown may sound scary, but it can also surprise you. Going out of your comfort zone is obviously uncomfortable, but it can open new opportunities for you. So, take your chances, make your choices, live your life to the fullest and you’ll be at your happiest. :) Details:
