A new year can bring a lot of different things to a person’s life. It can bring growth, maturity, opportunities, adventures and many more. But, welcoming a new year also means getting old. As you age, you’ll realize how important skin care is when you start noticing the changes in your body. I’m getting quite old (hindi halata noh) so I’m starting to exercise and go to the gym. I’m also leaning towards using more organic and natural products for a safer and healthier lifestyle. :)
Some of the natural products I currently use are on the photo above. Let’s start with Loola’s all-natural hand sanitizer, bug spray and deodorizer. All their products are made out of pure 100% essential oils and everything is plant-based. :) 1. Wishy Washy - Hand Sanitizer [You know what it is. Haha!] Php 80.00 2. Discombobulator - Bug Spray Php 94.00 Here’s a tip on how to use the bug spray: When you’re dining al fresco, spray on the hem of your clothes, or on a paper napkin and leave it on the table to keep the insects away. :) 3. Odor Schmoedor - Deodorizer Php 143.00 You can use this for your kitchen, cabinets, locker rooms, toilets, gym bags, garbage bin to get rid of any foul odor. Tip: Spray this on the water in the toilet bowl before pooping to enjoy an odor-free pooping experience. :) - This is weird, but I tried it and it’s real. HAHAHAH! This is my favorite scent because it smells fresh and citrus-y. The only problem I encountered with it is the oily consistency and the orange color of the liquid. I advice you to avoid spraying it on cabinets full of clothes/things to avoid catching the color of the spray. If possible, take out all the things inside prior to spraying. :) *** The small tin can in the photo is La Lola’s moisturizing balm is an organic oil blend of Olive, Rosehip and Grapeseed. You can use it to moisturize your face, lips and hands. :) This one is a gift from the U.S. :)

Unlike most of you, 2017 is the year that I actually learned how to ride an Uber alone. I’ve tried riding it twice last year, but I always had someone to ride with because I’m not familiar with Uber and I didn’t know how to use the app. HAHA! Sobrang late bloomer lang. :)
2017 is the year that I started my Uber journey. I’ve booked for myself, I’ve booked with a friend and I’ve booked for others as well. Fast learner, diba? Lahat natry ko in less than a year. Haha! :) If you want to know your history with Uber and what type of Uber rider you are, go and log in at www.yearwithuber.com :) When I checked mine, I learned that I’m an Uber There... Haha! Charot! I’m a Midday Wanderer because most of my trips were taken in the middle of the day, which is weird because I was usually out at night, But, I realized that most of the trips I took at night were booked by others. Haha! Thanks, Jam and Bea for always uber-riding with me to keep me company. :) And, thank you Uber for the fast, convenient and safe transportation! : ) In May 2017, the Fit Filipino Movement (FitFil) spearheaded by celebrity fitness coaches Jim and Toni Saret (“Biggest Loser Philippines Season 2”) sought to achieve their most challenging goal: to rally the entire Philippines to shift to an active lifestyle and collectively lose one million pounds.
Now, six (6) months later, the FitFil National Weight Loss Challenge has come to a close and the verdict is out: the Philippines has collectively shed nearly one million pounds in just half a year! The announcement was made during the movement’s culminating event, FWD’s Live to Move fitness party, held on December 3 at the Central Park, SM By the Bay, Mall of Asia. The centerpiece of the event was the “Campaign Achievement Celebration,” which highlighted the campaign’s collective achievements and recognized the more than a hundred organizations, institutions, LGU partners, and companies which took part in the project. Present during the occasion were representatives from these partner-organizations including the Philippine Medical Association, Philippine National Police, National Youth Commission, among others. Celebrity fitness coaches Jim and Toni proudly shared how the movement was able to achieve its objective of achieving its target in six months’ time. “It was a combined effort from everyone—individuals, groups, and partner organizations who pledged to lose weight by deciding it was time to adapt a more active lifestyle,” says Coach Jim. "But the mission has just started. We hope to see at least one million Filipinos more fit in three years’ time.” For her part, Coach Toni says, “Through the FitFil weight loss challenge, we hope to spread the message that being fit and well starts with a simple commitment and that includes taking ownership of your health.” FWD Life Philippines, one of the country’s fastest growing insurance companies, is a proud partner of the FitFil movement. “We at FWD fully support FitFilipino’s humble advocacy of getting everyone fit and well so Filipinos can really celebrate life. We will continue to encourage everyone to take part in a more active lifestyle and as our brand tagline goes, Get ready to live!” shares FWD Life Philippines Head of Marketing Rochelle Vandenberghe. As an insurance industry pioneer in the space of health and wellness, FWD Life Philippines has been at the forefront of pushing more Filipinos to lead a healthier lifestyle. The company spearheaded the “Live to Move” movement in 2015, a nationwide wellness project inspired by the virtue that achieving better health is key in getting ready to live life to the fullest. *** I was shookt when I read about this, but it made me proud of what the Philippines has achieved in 6 months that’s why I thought I’d share this to you guys. It may not seem like much to others because it’s just weight loss, but anything we do for the improvement of each individual in this country is step to becoming better as a whole. :) |
