Our great Hong Kong food adventure! :) I’ve been to Hong Kong a couple of times already with my family and though I’ve also discovered good restaurants with them, it’s still different when you’re with your friends. Being of the same age, our preferences are more in line and they’re more open to trying unique food. We don’t mind trying hole-in-the-wall restaurants or street food or a hipster new ice cream place. The options are bigger. And, new finds can also be introduced by your friends who have also tried other restaurants in the same country before. :) For instance... Our first meal in Hong Kong: LEI BISTRO :) Lei Bistro Crispy Pork Belly Lei Bistro Siao Long Bao & Baked Pork Chop :) I can’t remember what this one’s called but it’s like a spiced radish/turnip cake You have to try Lei Bistro’s Chili Sauce! Even those who are not a fan of spicy food liked this one. :) Lei Bistro Custard Bun - I thought it would be sweet but it’s not. It tastes like custard mixed with salted egg. :) Lei Bistro was introduced to us by our friend who was with us during the trip. We liked and would highly recommend it! It’s located at the lower ground level of Time Square (where the supermarket is) at Causeway Bay. :) First day dinner, we had Ichiran Ramen! I wasn’t able to try it in Japan because we were part of the tour and I heard the lines are always long so... Lucky me, they have a branch in Causeway Bay that’s not packed with people! And, this is the best ramen I’ve had so far! :) Street Food!!! Ralph & I kept coming back for more of their Beef Ball! It’s the besttt! :) We also went to Ikea in Hong Kong and I let Ralph try their famous meatballs. Masarap talaga eh! :) Tsingtao! Cheers! We had the best and the worst experience in this restaurant. I don’t even know the name of the restaurant but it’s near our hotel in Mongkok. It was late and some of our friends just arrived so they insisted on getting a few drinks before heading back home. We went to this shabu shabu/hotpot restaurant nearby since it’s one of the few places that were open at that time. The lady offered us the buy 1 take 1 Tsingtao. So kami, game naman mura na kasi. We only ordered 3 buy 1 take 1 orders for the 6 of us and that’s it. Little did we know that the buy 1 take 1 promo only applies to those who will order their hotpot. They were very rude in telling us that we need to order or else we’ll be paying for the full price and we can’t stay at the restaurant anymore. Medyo hassle na since eating wasn’t part of the plan; we just had late dinner. Anyway, we placed 1 order of hotpot soup & beef slices masabi lang na nagorder. Hahaha! The lady came back telling us that we need to order a minimum of 500HKD for us to avail the buy 1 take 1 promo. Excuse me lang, di nila sinabi yun agad. Sobrang badtrip na lahat but we all just ended up laughing and making jokes about the incident while we were there dahil ang rude ng waitress, ng waiter and ng manager nung restaurant at alam naman naming pinagtrtripan nalang nila kami dahil hindi naman abot ng 500HKD yung order ng mga nasa paligid namin pero na-avail nila yung promo. Hahaha! Bahala sila, basta di na kami babalik. CHEERS! :D Food Republic @ Silvercord, Tsim Sha Tsui My family always eat there whenever we’re in Hong Kong. I wasn’t very exited for it actually but I took a photo of it anyway. :) P.S. If you’re eating there, order Nai Cha instead of bottled water. Their Nai Cha is yummy and only 1 HKD more expensive than mineral water. :DYat Lok Roast Goose & Barbecue Pork @ Central. :)Emack & Bolio’s crazy cones @ Central. They have fruit loops, rice kispies, coco bits, etc. So unique and instagram worthy! Haha! :) We got the S’Moreo ice cream. :) It’s good but it’s very expensive for a single scoop of ice cream on a waffle cone with fruit loops. :/ Ebeneezer’s at Lan Kwai Fong! My friend posted about this before with good comments so I searched about it online; I saw some reviews saying that’s it’s a bit bland and that our shawarma places in Manila are even better than this. So, I wasn’t very enthusiastic to order when we saw it. Our friends still ordered and they liked it; they even let us try it. Eh masarap... so nagorder narin kami ni Ralph. Hahaha! :) Got this from Harbour City Shopping Mall’s food court located beside C!ty Super Supermarket. :) Godiva Ice Cream! So good! :) It’s my first time to try it kaya sinama ko siya sa post. :) #HongKong #DiscoverHongKong #food #foodiary #EmackAndBolios #LeiBistro #YatLok #Godiva #ichiran #HKStreetFood #streetfood #IKEAmeatball #foodtrip #foodie #meatball #shawarma #Ebeneezers #tsingtao #tsingtaostories #travel #adventure

Just a heads up, this is going to be a people filled blog post. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite photos from my recent Hong Kong trip with friends. <3 One of my favorite discoveries in Hong Kong! I’m familiar with the brand because my friend, Sheryl, gave us cute hoodies from this store 2 Christmases ago but it’s the first time I actually visited the store and I LOVE IT! They sell unique, cute, fashionable and affordable clothes. P.S. Always check their “deal of the week” super sulit! :) Because I wasn’t able to try it in Japan, I’m so glad they have it in Hong Kong! No need to line up for hours because their branch in HK did not have a long queue! :) And Ichiran’s ramen is the best one I’ve tried so far. Even Ralph, who’s not a big fan of ramen, liked it! :) Went shopping for coats! Yun talaga yung goal ko for this trip since I don’t have coats yet. :) Now that I have them… Saan naman ang punta? Hahaha! When the boys go shopping for sneakers… The girls take selfies. Hahaha! Now we know how they feel when they wait for us to finish shopping. :D Yat Lok Roast Goose for everyone. :D Nice photo :) “CANDID” photo :) ATTACK!!! Mah girlsss! Meet Pam & Jaq! <3 Someone surprised Jaq with this for no reason! Wala rin siyang kasalanan. EDI IKAW NA SWEET. Hahahaha! :) First time to party in Lan Kwai Fong and we didn’t get wasted or anything even close to that. Hahaha! Sobrang lolo at lola na. BAKEEET. But, people are so happy and friendly in Lan Kwai Fong. I was supposed to take a photo of Dave, Pam & Ralph and those bunch ended up photo bombing their picture. SO CUTE! :) Too sad to leave! We definitely missed the cool weather and even the long walks! :) *Cute ni Ralph noh? Pwede siyang gawing sad face emoji. Haha!*
