Tried 2 of the famous night markets in Taiwan: Shilin & Raohe :)
Between the two, I like Shilin better because it’s bigger and has more food choices. :)
Some of my favorites at the Shilin Night Market are:
Torched Cubed Beef with Cheese!!! YUM!
Their dumplings there are good too. :)
Black Pepper Buns (You can find this at Raohe as well)
Hot Star Large Fried Chicken
One of the thing that I wish I’ve tried but didn’t is the Quail Egg Takoyaki. HUHU. We already ordered so much food at Shilin so I decided to try the Quail Egg Takoyaki at a different night market. It turns out, they don’t offer the same variety of food in Raohe. Heartbreaking. :(
My brother also wanted to try the Oyster Vermicelli Noodle at Shilin, but he was already full so we didn’t get that as well. I think this food is quite unique so make sure you try it! :)
If you’ve seen some photos with the cute Cotton Candy Rubber Ducky, you can also find that at the Shilin Night Market.
Raohe Night Market
Fried Milk! It’s located at the far end of Raohe Night Market. :)
Smoking Cookies - In terms of taste, there was really nothing special; its like eating a sugar glazed cheese puff. But, it was quite an experience. Hahahaha!
Aside from those, there weren’t a lot of special food to try. There were actually more clothing stores around Raohe than food stalls so people who like to shop might enjoy this better. :)

For our last full day in Taipei, we joined a free walking tour!
Wasn't expecting much from it, but I had a great time!
We chose the Old Town Taipei tour and they took us to the following places:
National Taiwan Museum
228 Peace Memorial Park
Inner City Market
Snow King Ice Cream
Red House Theater
Our tour guide was so good!!! He's still a student but his props were all legit! You'll learn so much about the history of Taiwan and Taipei.
Aside from the Old Taipei Tour, they also offer the Vintage Tour, Longshan Temple Tour, Hunger Games Tour, Taipei Chill Out Tour and a Pub Crawl!
For more info and to book a slot, just go to:
Hope you'll enjoy the free walking tour as much as I did! :)
Tropical Paradise - Sasha Grey (No Copyright)
My brother and I did not get any tour packages for this day since the places we went to can easily be reached by train.
Summary of our destinations for the day:
Mala Hotpot in Ximen (YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS!!!)
Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall
We were supposed to go to Elephant Mountain as well, to get a better view of Taipei 101, but my brother did not want to hike. BABALIKAN KO TO PROMISE. T___T
Ikson - Lights (No Copyright)
For those who might be wondering and would like to take a similar adventure, we booked this tour through Viator and we went to the following places:
Jiufen Old Street
Ying Yang Sea
Shifen Old Street
Keelung Night Market
We were supposed to go to Shifen Waterfall as well but rain started to pour while we were at Shifen. :(
Here's the link to the actual tour that we booked: https://www.viator.com/tours/Taipei/Full-Day-Tour-of-Jiufen-Yehliu-Geopark-and-Shifen-from-Taipei/d5262-9649P7 :)
The tour costs about Php 4,100 - Php 4,300 (depends on how much the dollar is since you'll be paying in USD online.) It was quite worth it for a full day of tour since the places we went to were very far from our hotel. We would most probably spend just as much if we explored by ourselves. :)
We were only in Bali for 3 full days so we had to make the most out of it. I wouldn’t recommend that short of a trip though because our itinerary was packed! We would have loved to stay longer and chill or relax in our villas, but our trip was too short to give us the luxury to do so. :)
Anyway, here’s our itinerary.
Eating and trying good food is part of everyone's travel experience. So for this post, I'm gonna quickly share some of the best meals we've had in New Zealand. Most of the restaurants I'm gonna be sharing also received good reviews from tripadvisor. :)
Coromandel Mussel Kitchen
This place is qite far though. We were supposed to go to Coromandel to see the shooting location of The Chronicles of Narnia, but the Cathedral Cove was closed during our visit due to the typhoon that hit the area the week before. Luckily, I was able to find this restaurant when we were still working on our itinerary! :) My family enjoyed it! :)
Fish & Chips! :) This is probably one of the best fish & chips I've tried so far. The fish still tastes fresh even after being deep fried! :)
If you're not a fan of seafood, the MK Chicken, bacon & brie on sour dough bun with salad, garlic aioli & cranberry sauce is really good too! :) [Sorry, I wasn't able to take a photo of that one!]
The Mixed Grill Half Shell Mussels (FLAVORS: Garlic Butter, Chili & Cheese and Parmesan Creme Fraiche)
Their mussels got muscles! The size one shell is about half of my hand. They are HUGE!!! :) I'm not a fan of mussels but if you are, these are pretty worth it. :) I tried all the flavors and my favorite is Chili & Cheese!!!!!!!! Yum! :) The Parmesan Creme Fraiche is good too but their Garlic Butter tastes normal.
Jarvois Steak House in Ponsonby, Auckland
They sell some pretty expensive steaks but it was worth it! :) I got the Wakanui Scotch Fillet 350 grams of meat - Medyo nagbaboy ako. Haha! For each steak choice, you get to choose a sauce. I highly recommend the sauce I got (see photo above); it's the Truffle Horseradish Chipotle Bearnaise :)
For the sides, get the Baked Candied Kumara Pecans and the Roast Carrots, Burnt Honey, Thyme :)
Their steak fries is tasty, crunchy and has a generous serving compared to the other sides. The JSH Creamed Spinach is a very sad tasting creamed spinach so no, I won't recommend that. :D
Moving on to ROTORUA....
Ciabatta Bakery - Perfect for your quick breakfast run! :)
Yummy sandwiches, besh! :)
I got the Lammie: Slow cooked NZ lamb on Ciabatta or Focaccia with Pumpkin, Lettuce, Tomato, Swiss Dressing & special Bacon Jam.
Lady Jane's Ice Cream Parlour at Eat StrEat, Rotorua :)
Just like most groceries and ice cream shops/stalls in New Zealand, Lady Jane is also selling TIP TOP ice cream (the best and the creamiest!), but they offer Danish cones, toppings and syrups as add ons to your ice cream. But, a scoop at Lady Jane's is about 2 New Zealand Dollars more expensive than the regular ice cream shops so if you're just want ice cream.. Just look for a nearby grocery that sells Tip Top too. :D
PITA PIT! MY FAVORITE IN NEW ZEALAND! :)
They sell wraps wherein you first choose your meat then choose as many veggies as you want and finally, you can put all the sauces they have available! To give you an idea, some of their available sauces are the following: Caesar, Ranch, BBQ, Chipotle, Sweet & Spicy, Aioli, Mayo, Honey Mustard, etc. :) It’s like Subway, but instead of sandwiches, they sell wraps. :) It’s cheap, healthy and delicious! :)
Finally… CHE CHORIZO :)
Tapas: Mini Paella & Chorizo
Both are delicious but another tapas that I would recommend are their Empanadas! They’re so good! My favorite fillings are Chicken and Humita(sweetcorn, basil, tomato, garlic and cheese) :D
Short Ribs - this is one of their popular dishes. It’s delicious but I prefer the next two entrees better. :)
Scotch Fillet - perfectly cooked and seasoned steak! :)
Parrillada - A platter of different meats: Beef Steak, Chicken Thigh, Chorizo, Pork Ribs and Lamb. In this meat selection, my favorite is the BBQ Chicken Thighs! It’s tender, juicy, perfectly cooked, smokey and savory! SHOULD’VE ORDERED CHICKEN!!! :) Their lamb is pretty good too, but I highly recommend the chicken. :D
I’ve mentioned in my Packing For Glamping video that I’ll be sharing another blog post about Nayomi Sanctuary Resort where I’ll be sharing our experiences and all the things we forgot to bring for our quick glamping trip. :)
So here it goes...
I looooveeee Nayomi Sanctuary Resort. The place is nice, cute, quiet and relaxing. Customer services is amazing; they have a friendly and accommodating staff that provide your requests as soon as you text them. :)
Yes, you read that right. TEXT. Upon check in, they will give you a cellphone that you will use during the duration of your stay since they don’t have regular telephones inside the tents. Text them your requests and your location and you’ll get them after a few minutes. :)
Everything was nice and perfect except for the following:
1. Lights out at 10PM. When the clock strikes 10 in the evening, you’ll be asked to turn off the lights outside your tent; thus, the remaining light you’ll have is the small lamp provided inside the tent. There isn’t much you can do if it’s dark, you know. We played card games under our cellphones’ light after the battery of Jaq’s flashlight was drained. It’s also pretty scary to go outside the tent too when it’s already dark. :)
2. Bring your own water jugs/bottles. You could easily request for water from their staff via text but services at 8PM or 10PM? So, if you get thirsty at night... i-tulog mo nalang. Haha! Hopefully, Nayomi can provide a pitcher of water in the tent for their guests at night. :)
3. INSECTS! There are are so many of them. There were a lot of big ants, mosquitoes and other unknown creatures. Some of them even go inside the tent and it’s quite hard to get them out once they’ve already entered the premises.
The lady in the photo with me (Jaq) is the person who is by far more prepared than I’ll ever be in terms of packing. Hahaha! She brought a thermos for hot water, water jug, a battery operated flashlight, an extra pillow and a blanket. Hahaha! I was teasing here in my Nayomi Sanctuary Resort video, but she came in prepared for the right reasons! :)
And, after the “Packing for Glamping” video I posted on my youtube channel, here are the things I forgot or should have brought with me for that trip!
1. Chargeable lights that can either be hanged or can stand on its own. Bring at least 2 if you’re also planning to use it outdoors. :)
3. Snacks: Chips, Cookies, Etc. :) - We thought we couldn’t bring in food because it was stated in their rules but I think what they really meant was to not bring MEALS (kanin, ulam, ganern). They don’t have a convenience store inside where you can buy your snacks so it would be nice to bring some too. :) As for the meals, their restaurant’s food is actually really good and not as expensive as how other resorts price their meals. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from their food because resorts usually serve expensive yet crappy food since their guests don’t have any choice anyway. HAHAHA! But, that’s not the case with Nayomi Resort. Their food is restaurant quality good and reasonably priced too. Price range of their menu is between Php150 - Php600. The most expensive one, which is priced at Php600.00 is already their bulalo. Most of the meals are on the average of Php200 - Php380 only. :)
4. Electric Fan! Hahaha! I know this may sound like overpacking, but if it can still fit your car, I suggest you bring an extra portable fan with you since they only provide one electric fan inside the tent. This will depend on the season of course, but it can be pretty hot inside especially during mid morning to afternoon. :)
5. I brought these with me but just to make sure you guys wouldn’t forget (because it’s really important), I’m also going to include them on my list again: TOILETRIES! They only provide towels and toilet paper. :) No shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. so make sure you bring them because these are basic necessities for overnight stays. :)
The price of our stay was pretty decent too. They had a promo when we booked our trip so our overnight stay at a tent (that’s good for 6 people, btw) was only Php5,800.00! Breakfast for 6 people was also included in the package. Sobrang sulit! :) Their tapa was not available during our stay so we ordered tocino, corned beef and longganisa... AND, I highly recommend you guys to get their longganisa! It’s the best choice among the 3 that we ordered. :)
Overall, I highly recommend Nayomi Sanctuary Resort. First, because it's a nice and unique experience to go glamping. Second, the place is beautiful so it's really worth visiting. And third, the service is superb. :) The insects are my only main concern but I guess that's part of the outdoor experience. It wouldn't be camping without them. :D

We only had one full day and another half day to explore Bohol; I thought it would be impossible to do much with such limited time, but we managed to make it work. The whole day was jam packed though. As in, nafeel namin kung gano katagal yung isang araw because of that trip. :)
I’m not going to bore you guys with lengthy blog post about Boracay because I’m sure a lot of people have already been there; some might have even visited this paradise more than once. What I’m going to share today are my top food picks in Bora because eating/restaurant hopping is probably one of the things you’re gonna do in Boracay if you’ve already been there a couple of times. :)
1. My favorite restaurant: Sunny Side Cafe :)
It’s a cute & fresh restaurant at the far end of Station 3. Going there can be tiring, but I promise it’s worth trying! When you get there, make sure you order this big platter of goodness: ANGUS BEEF TAPSILOG :) - The best!
You might also want to order the Bacon Eggs Benedict. I kind of regreted not getting one when I saw it being served in another table. Hahaha! We got the salmon omelet instead, which was mehhhhdiocre. :D
2. Second favorite: SPICE BIRD located at D’Mall :)
The owner of Sunny Side Cafe and Spice Bird is the same; no wonder both restaurants consistently serve delicious food and great ambiance. :) I don’t think there’s anything bad in Spice Bird’s menu and if it is, I’m pretty sure their sauces can make up for it. :)
So far, I’ve already tried the “Cubano - Cuban Sandwich”, “Peri Peri Chicken” and the “Pulled Pork Sandwich”, and all three were deliciously satisfying. You’ll feel some level of comfort with the food they serve you. :)
Sorry guys! Extra lang to, but I had to share it kasi medyo witty yung label ng hot sauce. :D It says: “It burns like seeing your ex with someone else” #Hugot #laslas Hahahaha! :)
3. The well-known Two Season’s 4-Cheese Pizza and Oyster Sisig!
Those two are the perfect match; thus, it has become a habit a visit Two Seasons for these whenever we’re in Boracay. The only thing I hate about them are their prices. They’re quite expensive. :(
4. Aside from it’s beach and beautiful fine white sand, Boracay is also known for it’s night life. :) During peak season, the party starts even before the sun sets, and it can start as early as 2:00PM for the regular happy hour promos. Our favorite happy hour place is Sur. From 2:00 - 5:00 PM, you can enjoy a buy 1 take 1 promo on all their cocktails. :) And, they make some of the most delicious ones too. :)
Last year, my friends introduced me to their Pina Colada, and we all loved it. :) This year, I discovered this! This pink milky beauty is not a milkshake. :) It’s a cocktail called PINK SQUIRREL that tastes a lot like Tequila Rose. Imagine getting 2 glasses of Tequila Rose for just Php280.00 :) Not bad, right? :)
Before I end this blog, here’s another tip too. Before you get all wasted in Boracay, try to enjoy it as it is. Walk all the way to the farthest end of Station 1, go around the rock formation and you’ll find a beach that’s beautiful and uncrowded. There you’ll also find Spider House. Don’t expect much from their restaurant (food is bland and expensive), but the view is nice from up there and the experience of going inside is quite unique too. Hahaha :)
*Our group photo above was taken at Spider House*
Cheers to more and better travels, everyone! <3

Yes, I purposely included our trip to South under my "TRAVEL" blog dahil byahe para sa mga taga North ang pagpunta ng South. At dahil may toll fee ang pagpunta ng Alabang, considered may "travel expense", maliban sa gas, ang pagpunta doon. Haha! :)
Peace sa mga taga South! Enjoy naman lagi yung experience ko sa lugar niyo. Like this one...
Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit walang ganito sa North. Tanggap ko, lamang talaga kayo dito. Hahaha! :)
The best burger I've tried so far! THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST! And, I'm willing to travel al the way to the south and pay another set of toll fee just to try this again. :)
We got the Class President - Php310.00
Their food's a bit expensive. The good burgers are priced between Php255.00 - Php385.00, but they are far better than 8 Cuts Burger, which has the same price range. :)
Umami Chicken - Php 295.00
If you're hungry, this baby is value for money For only Php295.00, you get 2 big chicken pieces with kimchi rice, umami corn, gravy and kimchi on the side. Super sulit, good and heavy. If ever, you can share this and burger so you can try both without feeling bloated right after. :D
Umami corn! :)
Our 2nd South restaurant destination: Ice Flower for some legit Korean Bingsu :)
I've been hearing about Bingsu and I've been seeing them online too, pero parang hindi naman ako naexcite sa idea ng shaved ice with toppings. Medyo Ice Monster lang yung peg; eh napagdaanan ko narin naman yun nung highschool. Hahaha! But, my friends kept on telling us stories about it and insisted that it's really worth trying so we gave in. Sayang naman ang byahe papuntang Alabang kung hindi lulubusin. Hahaha! :)
And.. Grabe siya. It tastes like cold powdered milk. AND I LOVE MILK, so imagine kung anong naramdaman ko sa nakain ko yun. Same with Ralph; wala siyang ibang sinabi kundi "ang sarap" after every spoonful of Bingsu. :)
It's just a bit expensive though. Php180 - Php220 for a single serving (depending on the toppings) and Php 340 - Php 380 for double servings. Medyo may kamahalan so hindi ko naman kayo ineencourage na araw-arawin. But, do try it. :D
We got the Mango w/ Cheesecake Bingsu [1st photo] - MASARAP SIYA. Hahaha! :)
TIP: Ask for extra milk!
