Just in time for Holloween, The Arts Management Program under the School of Design and Arts (SDA), De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde partnered with emegerging theater group TAXI to present the horror theatrical production, MULAGAT, this October 2016. :) Mulagat, a multisensorial horror theatrical play written and directed by Eric Villanueva Dela Cruz, makes use of Theater-in-the-Dark on some portions of the play, designed to provide an alternative experience to visual bias of watching a play by plugging the audience in complete darkness to stimulate other senses. The story centers around a graduating architecture student, Nico, who wakes up in the middle of the night to investigate the strange sounds emanating from the hallway outside his condo unit. He stumbles upon a young girl looking for her brother. The tale unfolds in a series of eerie encounters that spirals down uncontrollably, escalating into a spine-chilling revelation. Okay, I think I’ve shared enough. This seems like a hair raising experience, and it’s a perfect halloween adventure. :) The play will run from October 7 to 29, 2016 at the SDA Black Box Theater, 6/F Benilde School of Design and Arts Campus, 950 P. Ocampo St., Malate, Manila.
