I’ve been going through my past few months’ blog posts and I noticed what my blog has become. It has been full of ads and events that it slightly felt like a stranger. When I started blogging, it was all about sharing personal styles, experiences and travels. But even though I still want to keep it that way, work and the events I had to cover started to take over. And although I kept true to my promise that I will not blog about something I don’t believe in, (Yes, this is true. I’ve turned down all future offers of a website that gave me a bad and difficult experience when I wasn’t blogging for them. I tried ordering from them as a regular person through their website and I had the worst customer service. I formally said goodbye to them and said I couldn’t blog and say nice things after what I had just experienced. They were nice, they understood and we parted ways.) there are still far too many other stores, brands and websites out there that are worth talking about. I’m not complaining, I’m happy to be working with brands I adore, believe in or at least see a potential in but it still feels different and distant from this blog’s humble beginnings. So, here I am back to where I really started: sharing personal style posts. :) My blog has been through a great journey these past 2 years thanks to all those who trusted it and the PR companies who took notice, but I miss sharing these kinds of things. This is home to me and it is still what I’m most comfortable with. :) So with the new year that just started, I promise to myself that I will try as hard as I can to maintain regular style and travel posts for the coming years. I don’t want this blog to lose it’s identity. Jeannegerbread/The Jeanne Journal will always be about the girl behind this blog more than anything else. :) Yes, there will still be ads and events because that has become a part of my blog’s expansion/growth but it certainly will not be just about that. :) Thank you so much to everyone who has been a part of my 2016! I met a lot of new friends this year and the photographer of these photos is one of them! A big shout out to Ben Bigalbal for always taking amazing photos and teaching me how to pose ‘cause I got no skillz. Hahaha! :) This year has been challenging because I’ve been putting a lot on my plate and I’ve been trying to juggle so many things in my life, but what I realized is.. If you meet the right people, you’ll get through everything just fine because you are not alone. :) I’m thankful to have a great team in the office. I wouldn’t have survived 2016 if it wasn’t for them. They’re like family who will always have your back and help you out. They know when to be serious and when to have fun. They don’t need to be told what to do every now and then because they know their job pretty damn well. And even though this year has been crazy in the office, we still managed to pull through quite decently up to the last office day of 2016. :) I want to thank my family for understanding my stressful life. Hahaha! I tend to be moody and serious when I’m stressed and busy but they keep their cool and just let me be. I know my mood can get to them sometimes, but they still love me and accept me. Ahhh, family. They make sure my days out of work would be more fun and my parents would always make sure I eat my meals (kaya po ako tumataba). :D I’m also thankful for all the amazing people I met in the blogging world this year. Charlene & Phya, thanks for being my sisters in this industry! :) Thanks to all the Nuffies for being a family & friend. To the new people, PR & bloggers I met who are super warm and friendly that makes going to events less scary, thank you. Hehe. : ) Before I end this blog post, here’s a quick run through of my OOTD! :) The Lush Closet Gray Turtle Neck Top // Mango Black Jumper/Dress Michael Kors Black Sling Bag :) SM Woman Blush Pink Long Vest // Payless Heels :) I hope 2017 will be an even greater year for everyone! God bless you all and let the new year begin! :) #NewYear #NewBeginning #2017 #SMWoman #iAmSMWoman #MichaelKors #TheLushCloset #Payless #Mango #ootd #lotd #style #styleblogger #personalstyle #lookbook #outfit #look #blogger #BenBigalbal #HappyNewYear
