The super high tech doll of Nivea. I was curious at first as to why a doll is in the same box as a sunblock (kayo ba hindi kayo magtataka? Haha!), but when I read the details I realized that it was designed in order to physically show the effects of sun exposure to the skin. With the daily sun exposure, we don't usually notice the effect it has on our skin anymore since we probably get sun burned or get darker little by little every day. The Nivea Doll's skin, like human skin, is sensitive to the sun, so it turns red (like sunburn) when exposed to the sun without the caring protection of a sunblock. Here's a photo of the doll after it sun bathed outside the house :) My beach trips are still a few months away, but I'm really curious as to how this doll turns red so I gave it a try at home just to see how it works. And poor baby Maria, she did turn red. :( Here's another photo of Maria the doll when I applied NIVEA SUN on her skin before she went sun bathing. And, yes! She was protected from getting grilled! Here's my godson, Nathan. He, like a lot of the kids, are still into sports. I've seen him get darker through the years because of baseball so I thought he'd be the perfect receiver of this gift from Nivea. Hopefully, with Nivea Sun, Nathan is going to be enjoying his games and be protected at the same time. :D It's a great move that Nivea made a doll to demonstrate the effect/consequence of not applying sun protection because kids are the ones who are usually too stubborn to apply sunscreen. Hahaha! I know because I've been there. I hated putting sunblock on because it's sticky and white. But as you grow older, you realize the negative effects of what you have done as a child. :) With this doll, it becomes easier for kids to understand the importance of sunscreen. I wish that both parents and children could learn from this short blog post so that they could always keep themselves protected from here on forward. Thank you, NIVEA Family! I'm ready for my 2 beach trips this year because of all the Nivea goodies I have in stock! :D #NiveaPhilippines #Nivea #NiveaPH #NiveaSun #sunblock #skincare #blogger #NiveaDoll #NiveaSunProtects

I've been struggling to get off my eye makeup ever since I used Maybelline's super long lasting waterproof eyeliner & mascara. Hahaha! Love that it stays on my eyes forever, but I hate it when it's already time to take it off. :D For the longest time, I've settled with just washing my face with Pond's Facial Wash and scrubbing off the eye makeup afterwards. But it always leaves me looking like a raccoon. Good thing it only happens at night, when no one can see me, so I just sleep it off and struggle to getting it completely off after my bath the following day. Luckily, I was able to get this from one of the goodie bags from my aunts whenever they visit from the states. It's currently a favorite and here are my thoughts about it: Pros: - Removes makeup easily because of it's oil based solution. - It doesn't feel too greasy/oily on the skin - It's light on the skin - It smells quite nice Cons: - It costs around Php2,500 - Php3,000! SO EXPENSIVE (Always a peeve. Hahaha! I know quality comes with the price, but seriously.... I don't want to go poor because of my pa-beauty! Hahaha!) Verdict: Good and will definitely use it esp. if I get a free mini Bi-Facil again from one of the Lancome loot bags. Haha! But, I'm gonna find a dupe for this. I NEED TO FIND A DUPE FOR THIS BABY! :) #BiFacil #MakeupRemover #beauty #skincare #cosmetics #facial #Lancome #Makeup #review #blogger
I was able to try Maybelline’s White Superfresh Powder first and I thought it was really nice. It became my everyday powder because it’s far cheaper than MAC, but I have a few issues with it so when I learned about Maybelline’s Clear Smooth ALL IN ONE Powder, I got curious about the difference between the two. The packing is very much the same except for the color and they are both cake powders, so how are they so different?
My friend, Phya, who has been blogging about Maybelline products was kind enough to share her knowledge about the products, which I later tested and validated when I got to try them at home in order to make a more accurate review of the products. :) |
Hi, everyone! I made a page dedicated to beauty, skin care & cosmetics because I get more questions about it than fashion & styling. Haha! Now it will be easier for my readers to find my makeup related posts. :) Archives
